So you want to make a Quadsuit Duct Tape Dummy?

The best base layer The Switch Stitch recommends for a quadsuit DTD is a zentai quadsuit, these are available from several sources, below are a few links (There is shipping times to consider so order early in the proces)

Zentai Quadsuit from Amazon

Zenatai Quadsuit from Aliexpress

You can either order one of those and then just get a friend to tape over that base layer.

Or you can take the slightly more complicated route and make a base layer using plastic wrap and then duct tape over top.

Now regardless of which route you decide to take to make them your position is VERY IMPORTANT and will effect the end fit of your quadsuit.

When you're making the dummy YOU NEED TO BE ON ALL FOURS essentially standing on your elbows and knees as your final position when you're being wrapped up in tape, as pictured to the right. Otherwise the proportions will be wrong in the chest area and can lead to there being more fabric in the chest and not enough in the rear of the shoulders

The guide for taping you DTD is below:

1) Begin by wrapping your torso in a layer of plastic wrap

2) Use strips of duct tape to completely cover your torso. If using a plastic wrap base layer we recommend standing for both of these parts. Make sure to tear a bunch of extra strips of tape for your legs which will be coming next. It will speed up the process so you dont have to hold the position as long

3) We recommend you use a small stool or ottoman to rest on (you can rest your chest on the stool). You now want to get into the quadsuit kneeling position and wrap both of your legs in plastic wrap, with your feet joined at your butt, where your tail is going to be. Do not go too tight, give your legs each a little bit of flex room, this will make it more comfortable for you and make you able to last in that position longer now and in the finished suit.

4) Using strips of tape completely cover the legs in tape

5) if you havent done so or dont have enough, rip more strips of tape for your arms while your arms are still free (we recommend stretching them out one final time before this next part)

6) Fold your arms in the Quadsuit position in the downward direction like you are standing on your elbows and knees (again a stool will help here so you dont necessarily need to be actually standing on them) and again be sure to give your arms a few inches of flex space, do not go too tight or it will limit your ability to be comfy later

7) Use the pre-ripped pieces of tape to cover your arms

8) If You are getting a head with your quadsuit, now use plastic wrap to wrap your head and neck, connecting to the torso (be sure to leave yourself clear breathing channels, you can honestly leave the nose uncovered as long as it is clearly defined where it is

9) Using pre-ripped pieces of tape, wrap the head until you are now in a duct tape quadsuit.

10) PLEASE CLEARLY MARK where the eyes, nose and approximately where the mouth are with a sharpie. Additionally mark a line on the crotch approximately where the crotch zipper needs to be if you have selected that option

11) When getting cut out of the suit, please draw clear cut lines with key marks for reassembly. We recommend you start with the arms as they will be the first part of your body to get sore. Please cut a nice vertical line for all cuts. For the torso pleas cut a straight line down the back, again marking how it reconnects.

12) Finally Please write out your name and contact info on the chest of your DTD to avoid any confusion in our workshop.

Please follow this same procedure if using the recommended zentai suit base layer, and feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.
